About the Role

Crown Technical Systems is seeking a skilled Panel Assembler 1 to join our team on the 2nd Shift. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling fabricated metal parts for relay and control panels according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze various blueprints, diagrams, drawings, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies for enclosure buildings
  • Assemble relay and control panel metal cabinets using various power tools and hand tools
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that assembled products meet specifications and quality standards
  • Identify and record any product defects, and report them accordingly
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and parts in the work station
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management
  • Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams
  • Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
  • Basic understanding of tools, such as tape measures and impact drills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in safely operating powered equipment, such as forklifts and overhead cranes
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds at a time
  • Manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
  • Wear personal protective equipment, such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
Compensation

The salary for this role is $16.00-$18.50/Hourly, plus a $1.00/hour shift differential for working on the 2nd Shift.
