Real Estate Closing Assistant

Rapidly growing and publicly traded REIT company seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Closing Assistant to join our reputable legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate transactions and a thorough understanding of the legal aspects surrounding property deals.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and review of real estate closing documents, including purchase agreements, deeds, and title commitments.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, lenders, and real estate agents to facilitate smooth and timely closings.
  • Conduct thorough research of public records and legal documents to verify information about properties.
  • Manage the entire closing process, from the initial contract to the final closing, ensuring all documents are correctly filed and distributed.
  • Prepare and finalize closing statements, ensuring all costs, credits, and adjustments are accurate.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual deadlines and provide timely updates to all parties involved.
  • Assist with post-closing tasks, including recording documents, disbursing funds, and resolving any post-closing issues.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Real Estate Closing Assistant or similar role.
  • Proficiency in preparing and filing closing documents.
  • Strong understanding of the closing process.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, attorneys, and other parties involved.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and real estate software.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification is a plus.
