Educational and Experience Requirement:

A Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Kinesiology, or a closely related discipline is required. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is necessary. A combination of education, experience, and training that provides the requisite knowledge and abilities may also be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position:

This role entails overseeing routine managerial tasks related to the daily operations and activities of the Athletics Department.

Primary Responsibilities:

The incumbent will:

  • Oversee the maintenance and utilization of athletic facilities, collaborating with other departments.
  • Identify and pursue revenue-generating events for athletic facilities.
  • Supervise event support staff within the athletics department.
  • Set goals and objectives for athletic facility projects and enhancements.
  • Establish guidelines, procedures, and regulations for facility usage.
  • Develop schedules, priorities, and standards to achieve set goals.
  • Coordinate and assess business activities, including facility rentals, game day support staffing, maintenance, procurement, purchasing, and payments.
  • Monitor budget expenditures.
  • Plan, assign, and oversee the work of team members.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:

Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations is essential. The ability to manage business operations effectively is required. Strong communication skills are necessary for interaction with various university departments, personnel, and external agencies.
