Licensed Vocational Nurse II

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Director of Health Service, this role is responsible for meeting the needs of our residents and supervising CNAs/Nurses Aids to ensure quality resident care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors, ensuring satisfaction.
- Arrive on time, dressed in proper clean uniform, with good personal hygiene and a visible nametag.
- Coordinate and perform resident assessments and plan of care evaluations as necessary.
- Coordinate and perform needed treatments, medications, or other nursing interventions as indicated by the patient plan of care or as ordered by the physician.
- Ensure all necessary emergency measures are followed according to facility policy and within standards of nursing practice.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and medications to meet patient/resident needs.
- Protect all patient/resident rights.
- Maintain all documentation as required by Federal and State regulations and Company policy.
- Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, using equipment correctly and safely, and following department safety protocols at all times.
- Follow highest standards of cleanliness and comply with all federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
- Attend all mandatory in-service meetings and comply with all department and facilities policies and procedures.
- Current LVN licensure on file, with experience in long-term care community health, geriatric, and/or rehabilitative nursing desirable.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Ability to understand, follow, support, and initiate policies and procedures of the facility, and to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
