Position Summary:
The Welding Team Lead will operate with minimal supervision, taking charge of prioritizing and managing tasks within their designated area. Responsibilities include executing work assignments, upholding 5S standards, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives, alongside necessary data analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Team Lead, you will support production orders and projects, which entails:
- Understanding and implementing production processes based on engineering specifications, industry standards, and quality practices while prioritizing safety.
- Initiating and leading process enhancement projects and assisting in resolving production challenges.
- Utilizing the SAP ERP system and other company applications for effective operations.
Additional duties include:
- Coordinating with relevant departments to address discrepancies
- Participating in internal audits and process reviews
- Documenting results and entering data into logs or databases
- Analyzing monthly performance data and developing action plans
- Collaborating with quality assurance, purchasing, and material control teams
- Monitoring and processing production orders within SAP
- Engaging in production meetings and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Training team members on internal processes and acting as a mentor
- Leading specific production processes and ensuring accurate data reporting
- Upholding housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and accessible work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Proven leadership abilities
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic mathematical proficiency
- Effective problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous
