We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to manage the processing of incoming orders from referral sources and patient assistance requests. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in utilizing our enterprise system to ensure accurate handling of new patient orders and re-orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver timely and precise information to clients, taking corrective actions to guarantee complete satisfaction.
  • Collect and document patient referral admission data.
  • Maintain communication among referral sources, sales, dispatch, and other departments regarding pending referrals and patient admissions.
  • Input new patient details into the order processing system.
  • Generate and distribute a daily referral log to relevant staff.
  • Conduct insurance verifications and secure prior authorizations for patient onboarding.
  • Engage with sales, case managers, physicians, and patients to gather necessary information for authorization.
  • Perform cost analyses for new referrals and relay information to Sales and dieticians as needed.
  • Handle telephone inquiries and triage issues in line with company standards.
  • Ensure delivery schedules align with patient needs and adhere to cost-effectiveness guidelines.
  • Document referral source or patient concerns accurately and take appropriate corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • A college education (associate or bachelor's degree) is preferred, but strong relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in PC skills, particularly the MS Office suite.
  • Experience with Brightree or CPR+ software is advantageous, though training will be provided.
  • Prior experience in patient admissions and customer service within a referral source-based practice is strongly preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and sales teams is preferred.
Physical Requirements

This role requires regular communication and the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and perform tasks that may involve standing or bending. Occasionally, the position may require lifting office supplies weighing between 20 to 35 pounds.
