Saw Filer

At Boise Cascade, we're committed to operational excellence, safety, and success through people. As a Saw Filer, you'll play a critical role in our manufacturing process, ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Bench band saws, leveling and tensioning to company standards
• Set up, grinding, and aligning band mill wheels and track as needed
• Welding cracked band saws, working out welds and replacing teeth as needed
• Keeping working areas clear of waste and utilizing spare time productively
• Performing all tasks required by the supervisor, including operating equipment as needed

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Ability to bench and fit round saws, edger saws, band saws, and related equipment
• Handling of band saws, head saws, and knives
• Set up Saws in grinders for the headrig, twin, and resaws safely
• Ability to troubleshoot, cover all shifts, and perform all jobs
• Ordering parts and maintaining inventory at a workable level
