MUSC Health - Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Hospital Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care through comprehensive history taking, physical examinations, and treatment plans
- Evaluate and treat patients based on diagnostic test results, practice agreements, and scope of practice guidelines
- Initiate referrals to other healthcare providers and consult with attending physicians or collaborating physicians
- Document and bill for direct care provided
- Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical research, and accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities
- Stay up-to-date with current research and evidence-based decision-making in clinical practice
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and licensure as a Physician Assistant, or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and licensure as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- At least 6 months of hospital medicine experience, or a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant or FNP/AGACNP in Hospital medicine
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and licensure in the state of South Carolina
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers is essential.
This is a PRN position, and the schedule will vary. The candidate must be able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
