Job Summary:

As an Advanced EMT with Lancaster County, SC, you will work in a family-oriented environment to deliver emergency care to the citizens and visitors of our community. This role requires a team player who can provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) and customer service-focused care.

Responsibilities:

• Work as a team to successfully operate a single ambulance operation in the provision of Basic and Advanced Life Support services.
• Respond to emergency calls, provide treatment, and transport patients in accordance with organizational policy, industry standards, and the provider's scope of practice.
• Deliver compassionate care with clinical excellence and customer service in mind.
• Project a professional image through positive community interactions, adherence to uniform standards, and customer service.
• Complete patient care reports, daily unit check sheets, and end-of-month check-off sheets in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with policy.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of an accredited Advanced EMT program.
• South Carolina/National Registry AEMT certification.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, & 800 certification.
• EVOC/CEVO certification.
• HAZMAT Awareness certification.
• Valid Driver's License Record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and lift using safe techniques.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, etc. for long periods of time within a 24-hour shift.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and environmental conditions.
• Ability to successfully mitigate stressful situations with co-workers, other healthcare providers, patients, and the public.
