Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve complex pre-certification, authorization, and referral needs
  • Work with physicians, physician offices, insurance companies, and Authorization Advocates to answer patient questions and resolve patient issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient information
  • Collaborate with other Specialists, Leads, and Advocates on process improvement projects
Requirements
  • RN license required
  • Successful completion of the CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager) Certification course - NAHAM within 6 months of hire
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field required
  • 2-3 years' experience with pre-cert, referrals, and authorization processes strongly preferred
