About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our In-Patient Radiology Department at Stamford Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a variety of diagnostic procedures in our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate multiple imaging systems with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify each patient using our hospital's patient identification policy and establish accurate patient identification prior to delivering patient services.
  • Provide procedural support for a variety of patient procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory protocols and standards.
  • Coordinate radiographic imaging to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care and assist with the management of the department's workflow.
  • Apply appropriate measures to minimize radiation exposure to self, patients, employees, and others by employing the ALARA principles.
  • Responsible for achieving quality assurance measures and requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory and participating in continuing education, meetings, and training.
  • Communicate effectively using good interpersonal skills and serve, manage, and support internal and external customers.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and serve as a team member, being accountable for own work responsibilities.
  • Participate in the instruction of students and in-service education for staff members.
Requirements
  • The candidate must have completed a formal radiography or equivalent training program as specified by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Health.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and holidays as needed, as well as on-call duty when applicable.
  • Display a good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.
