Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at Georgia Tech. As a member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food service to our clients, including student athletes and event attendees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining food stations, including transporting and replenishing food items as needed.
  • Operate and provide service at interactive stations, such as build-your-own smoothie bars.
  • Serve and clear food and beverages quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
  • Keep work areas clean and coordinate actions with the front-of-house supervisor to ensure flawless customer service.
  • Manage time effectively and assist in managing inventory of equipment and with set up and breakdown of events.
  • Report to the front-of-house supervisor and perform any tasks assigned to execute a flawless event.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of serving and/or front-of-house experience.
  • Experience in high-volume catering or food service is preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will mainly attend to the Student Athlete Training Table located in Bobby Dodd Field. This position will move in and out of the kitchen and food service area, including but not limited to coolers, freezers, and other sanitary places.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting approximately 30 pounds.
