Junior Accountant

As a vital member of the finance team, the individual will be accountable for a variety of accounting responsibilities in compliance with established accounting standards. This role is essential in maintaining robust internal controls and adhering to the designated authority matrix for assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries while ensuring timely account reconciliations.
- Handle intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations and confirmations.
- Assist in GAAP and statutory audit processes, acting as a point of contact for auditors.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports and supplementary schedules.
- Collaborate with various departments to uphold accurate record-keeping practices.
- Conduct bank account reconciliations.
- Support and/or oversee various accounts receivable processes aligned with the Order to Cash cycle.
- Support and/or manage accounts payable processes in conjunction with the Procure to Pay cycle.
- Maintain and update financial data within Oracle FCC, including uploads and account mapping.
- Assist in ERP system testing and maintenance.
- Produce financial reports, perform detailed analyses, and address inquiries.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive improvements.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution is required.
- Prior internship or experience in an accounting or finance capacity is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Process-oriented with the ability to work independently, focusing on accuracy and quality.
- Proven capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
This role necessitates frequent sitting, with occasional standing, walking, and bending. The ability to lift and carry boxes and files weighing up to 50 lbs is required. Average vision and hearing capabilities are essential.
Work Environment:
The position is based in an office setting associated with a manufacturing facility, with potential exposure to chemical substances and fumes related to electronic component production.
