POSITION OVERVIEW
The Clinical Educator for Surgical Technology plays a pivotal role in providing a high-quality learning environment for students enrolled in the surgical technology program. This position involves ensuring that the curriculum remains current, employing effective teaching strategies, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all learners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. **Curriculum Delivery**: Facilitate and execute the objectives of the assigned curriculum course under the guidance of the Surgical Technology Program Director.
2. **Assessment and Evaluation**: Develop, administer, and evaluate both formative and summative assessments throughout the educational process.
3. **Student Support**: Engage with students to address any concerns or challenges related to their educational journey and academic success.
4. **Activity Planning**: Organize and assign student activities within classroom and clinical environments to achieve comprehensive program goals.
5. **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate documentation of student performance, attendance, and grades, serving as a professional role model.
6. **Instructional Material Development**: Collaborate in the selection and preparation of teaching resources, creating detailed lesson plans that incorporate various instructional methods.
7. **Individualized Learning**: Identify and respond to the unique learning needs of students, considering their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
8. **Professional Development**: Assist students in cultivating the values, attitudes, and principles essential to the healthcare profession.
9. **Team Collaboration**: Participate in regular meetings with the Program Director or designated representatives to discuss program developments.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the educational mission.
