Job Title: Competitive Lifeguard

At AEG, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Competitive Lifeguard to join our team. As a lifeguard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all pool users.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular surveillance of swimming and diving areas to identify potential hazards and ensure the safety of swimmers.
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations, including administering first aid, rescuing swimmers in distress, and providing CPR if necessary.
  • Enforce pool regulations, assist in teaching swimming lessons, and support pool supervisors in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Inspect the facility daily and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
  • Complete records and reports, and participate in regular in-service training sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Current certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
  • Assessment of lifeguarding skills and knowledge.
  • Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.

This is a part-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $16 to $17. Benefits include a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. The position will remain open until November 30, 2024.
