Overview:
The 6th floor comprises a 38-bed medical-surgical and stroke nursing unit dedicated to the care of adult to geriatric patients. Our nursing team is responsible for managing the care of patients with acute medical-surgical conditions, addressing a diverse array of diagnoses and care requirements. Through a collaborative interdisciplinary approach, we strive to deliver exceptional, personalized care to our patients. Our goal is to maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, supported by Patient Care Technicians and various ancillary departments, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

Deliver nursing care to patients across the lifespan, employing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Operate within the framework of organizational policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability while maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities among all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • New nursing program graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification is mandatory.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Advanced certification in a specialty area and nursing experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
