Job Summary

California Retina Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Scribe to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately document patient information, including medical histories, examination results, and treatment plans.
  • Assist physicians with patient exams, including preparing patients for procedures and maintaining a clean and organized exam room.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient processing of patients through the clinic.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and maintaining accurate inventory of medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless communication and minimize disruptions to clinic operations.
  • Participate in on-call duties with assigned physicians, providing support and assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical or clinical setting, preferably in ophthalmology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
