The **Maintenance Programs Manager** plays a crucial role in overseeing and supporting the Maintenance Program for aircraft managed under Air Wisconsin's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program, working with minimal oversight from the Director of Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fosters a safe and secure operational environment.
  • Leads and directs initiatives to prioritize modifications to the Maintenance Program.
  • Oversees the administrative change control process for the Maintenance Program.
  • Conducts research and analysis to assess the relevance of proposed changes from external sources to the Maintenance Program.
  • Provides oversight and formulates recommendations for enhancements to the Maintenance Program through ongoing improvement and monitoring processes.
  • Coordinates and communicates with the FAA, Reliability Board, and various Maintenance and Strategic Sourcing departments regarding changes to the Maintenance Program.
  • Develops job cards related to the Maintenance Program.
  • Ensures that Maintenance Program limitations are accurately recorded by creating tasks in the computer tracking system (PMI), validating the accuracy of limitations for each Maintenance Program change against manufacturer technical data.
  • Creates and updates technical work instructions associated with Maintenance Program tasks.
  • Ensures the effective and accurate implementation of Maintenance Program changes.
  • Supports the efforts of Reliability Analysts to enhance aircraft reliability through modifications to the Maintenance Program.
  • Maintains the accuracy and completeness of Structural Deviation Inspection Requirement (SDIR) manuals for aircraft and components as mandated by Federal Regulation.
  • Leads a review of SDIR Manuals for all aircraft and components prior to mid-life inspections.
  • Administers compliance with the EPA Aircraft Drinking Water Rule to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to all specified policies, practices, and procedures in alignment with Company standards for the execution of assigned responsibilities.
Essential Competencies:
  • Demonstrates high levels of judgment and initiative in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining program requirements.
  • Exhibits strong analytical skills to assess program data, implement changes, and make informed decisions on customizing the maintenance schedule to fulfill Air Wisconsin's operational needs.
  • Possesses the ability to communicate fluently in English.
Education & Experience:

Required:
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (MS Word & Excel), internet courseware development tools, and email.
  • Ability to work independently and advocate for necessary changes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance or Engineering.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License with a minimum of three years of experience in aircraft maintenance programs or maintenance planning, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication capabilities.
