AWS Data Processing Specialist

This role is for a highly skilled AWS Data Processing Specialist to join our Amazon MSK team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building new features, making performance improvements, identifying and investigating new technologies, prototyping solutions, building scalable services, and testing and reviewing changes to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
We are looking for someone with experience designing large-scale systems supporting millions of transactions per second, who enjoys solving complex software problems, and possesses analytical, design, and problem-solving skills. Ideally, you have an in-depth understanding of streaming data technologies like Amazon Kinesis or Apache Kafka, and experience with open-source data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or Apache Storm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new features for the Amazon MSK service
- Maintain and improve the performance of the service
- Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance the service
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $129,300 - $223,600 per year, based on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our total compensation package includes equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
