Supplier Development Engineer for Supplier Inspection Programs

As a key member of the SpaceX Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the raw materials and components used in our spacecraft and launch vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the Supplier Inspection Programs team in identifying and mitigating supplier-related defects, ensuring that our supply chain is efficient and effective.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field, with experience in supplier development, inspection, and quality management. You will be responsible for creating and executing plans to ensure supplier defects are caught at the source, and for expanding the value of on-site supplier presence through verification, audits, and training.
You will also be expected to present status and results to executive management, develop policies and standards to ensure continued success, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.

Key qualifications include a bachelor's degree in an engineering field, 2+ years of experience in supply chain, engineering, or quality assurance, and a strong understanding of quality management systems and processes. Preferred skills include experience with AS9100, SQL, software development, and project management.
