Position Overview:
Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist to join our esteemed CT Team. This is a full-time role with a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, including holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of IVs, heparin locks, and central line applications related to computed tomography, as demonstrated through supervisor and peer evaluations.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure smooth and consistent departmental operations.
  • Accurately identify patients and their records, ensuring a high level of precision, as evidenced by the absence of mislabeled films, images, and EMR charts.
  • Monitor patients in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Identify discrepancies and take immediate corrective actions, as indicated by EMR and PACS systems, as well as Radiology Information Systems reports.
  • Engage in departmental and hospital performance improvement initiatives, in-services, and meetings, as shown by attendance records.
  • Uphold radiation protection and safety standards for patients, staff, and self, as outlined in departmental protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilize radiation protection measures effectively with collimation devices and protective shielding, as evidenced by incident reports.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies, readily available for procedures, as evidenced by customer satisfaction.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Thursday from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, including holidays.

Location:
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus

Education:
Graduate of an accredited radiography program.

Experience:
Prior experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and/or Computed Tomography Technologist in a healthcare setting.

Certification:
BLS; CPR; Must be certified by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist; Must obtain CT Certification within one year of hire.
