The Production Technician I plays a crucial role in the operation and oversight of production machinery, ensuring optimal output while adhering to stringent safety and quality standards. Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role with a schedule of D2: Friday - Sunday, including alternating Thursdays, from 5:55am - 6:10pm. Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by consistently demonstrating safe practices.
- Comprehend and contribute to the enhancement of quality systems and protocols (including Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
- Acquire skills to operate and monitor high-speed production machinery safely.
- Proactively address production line challenges, develop and execute standard operating procedures, track production metrics, and engage in lean management practices.
- Participate in structured problem-solving initiatives with team members.
- Contribute ideas for productivity enhancements and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Quick learner with a strong grasp of processing and packaging machinery; mechanical aptitude or manufacturing experience is advantageous.
- Self-driven team player capable of decision-making, effective communication, and problem resolution.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations and a capacity to learn production software swiftly.
- Basic math skills for production-related calculations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift weights up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to bend, stretch, and remain standing throughout the shift.
- Frequent kneeling, squatting, climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching overhead are necessary.
- Ability to work in varying temperature and humidity levels.
