Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the overall performance of the Die Shop at Precision Castparts Corp. The successful candidate will identify, obtain, and coordinate resources to meet schedule requirements, ensuring the Die Shop cleans, repairs, and inspects all dies and related tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve procedures, work rules, systems, and processes to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
- Drive repair schedules through internal and external resources to meet production needs.
- Motivate employees to achieve higher productivity rates and improve quality.
- Manage a union workforce to meet safety, quality, and production requirements.
- Reduce cycle time and optimize production processes.
Requirements:
- Management education, preferably an MBA or minor undergraduate degree.
- Manufacturing experience, with a broad range of knowledge in business, purchasing, sales, engineering, and metallurgy.
Special Skills and Physical Requirements:
- Results-driven and action-oriented, with strong analytical skills.
- Familiarity with metal manufacturing processes, preferably closed die forging.
Relocation:
Relocation is authorized for this position.
This position requires access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations. The successful candidate must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
