Job Description

Job Summary:

The Laurels of Goshen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Assist the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of care and service to our guests.
  • Staff Management: Aid in scheduling, supervising, and evaluating nursing staff to ensure adequate staffing and high-quality care.
  • Guest Care: Monitor and evaluate the quality and suitability of nursing care provided to our guests.
  • Documentation and Charting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of guest care and treatment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable managed care, Medicare, and state Medicaid regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Registered nurse (RN) with a degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing, with management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification.
