Simpson University is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious individual to fill the role of Bus Driver. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting students, faculty, and staff across various locations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure safe travel by adhering to road and traffic conditions, passenger safety, and vehicle operational capacity.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, including checks on tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, and safety equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the bus to ensure a comfortable environment for passengers.
- A valid California Commercial Driver's License (CDL), class A or B
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to provide proof of excellent driving record
- Prior professional driving experience preferred
$18 per hour for standby duties and $22 per hour for driving responsibilities.
