Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, dismissal units, and public areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Follow proper procedures for separating regular waste from biohazardous waste, disposing of needles, and storing clean and dirty linens.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming, to maintain a clean and attractive environment.
- Assist with special projects and events, such as deep cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch areas.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and maintain a positive working relationship.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Biohazardous Waste certification obtained within 6 months of hire required at certain care sites.
Work Environment:
This position requires regular attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The physical demands of this role include carrying, climbing, crawling, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
