- Leads negotiations to achieve optimal savings.
- Documents and implements cost-saving initiatives to support business success and ensure transparency in results.
- Manages Supplier Relations processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
- Collaborates closely with Internal Stakeholders (requisitioners) to ensure effective customer service and early engagement.
- Provides supplier insights for projects and conducts evaluations specific to supplier performance (project assessments).
- Commodity Procurement Operations (alternatively: "Buyer"; "Purchaser") Commodity Professional (Entry-Level): A vocationally trained and experienced (semi-) professional role, possessing extensive knowledge of a variety of standardized commodities, semi-products, services, etc., executing all responsibilities outlined in relevant position profiles, or: Entry-level academic professional roles requiring a solid understanding of principles, technologies, and theories.
- Assists in supplier management activities (i.e., analysis, audits, reporting, issue resolution, preparing for supplier visits, market and pricing research) within a related Supply Chain Management organization.
- Supports business processes, resolves technical challenges, and contributes to the development of new methodologies, procedures, tools, and products through theoretical and practical expertise.
- Focuses on interpreting and applying procedures, analyzing challenges, implementing improvements, and may provide guidance to operational roles within their area of expertise.
Qualifications:
- Entry-level academic Bachelor’s degree positions requiring a solid understanding of principles, technologies, and theories; certifications in specific areas may be necessary, or: Vocationally trained and experienced (semi-) professional roles with extensive knowledge of various processes and systems (GRIP Leveling Core Chart "Operations").
- 0-2 years of professional experience with foundational knowledge in a technical domain.
- Work is structured within a related field, gaining expertise through targeted in-house training.
