About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced kitchen cleaning professional to join our team at Labor Staffing Inc. in Woodstock.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dishwashing and sanitation, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using both manual and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area by ensuring all equipment is properly stored after use.
  • Ensure all items are cleaned to health and safety standards, and any chipped or damaged items are reported.
  • Monitor the cleaning process to maintain efficiency and ensure that clean items are ready for food preparation and service.
  • Manage the flow of dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools to ensure timely delivery to cooking or serving stations.
  • Assist with basic food prep or other kitchen tasks as needed.
  • Dispose of trash, recycling, and broken items to maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Help maintain sanitation standards in the kitchen by regularly cleaning floors, sinks, and other surfaces.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant, hotel, or similar food service environment (at least 6 months to 1 year preferred).
  • Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment and other kitchen appliances.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Work Environment

This role involves working in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen setting, where physical stamina is required for standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.

You must be able to handle a noisy, hot, and sometimes humid environment.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space, contributing to smooth kitchen operations, and supporting other kitchen staff in preparing and delivering meals.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $40,000 - $50,000, depending on experience.
