We are in search of a seasoned financial accountant to support multiple facets of our daily accounting operations, reporting directly to the Controller. As our organization continues to grow through internal development and acquisitions, this role will be crucial in enhancing our daily accounting processes and managing the increased volume of financial activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end accounting entries across diverse areas.
- Maintain detailed supporting documentation and conduct reconciliations of balance sheet accounts during the closing period.
- Utilize the company's Microsoft Dynamics general ledger system, along with the PN3 accounts payable system and ADP payroll system.
- Generate various reports and analyses at month-end to effectively communicate outcomes to the operating practices.
- Collaborate closely with different operating practices to comprehend their unique operational characteristics.
- Engage effectively with Revenue Cycle, Accounts Payable, and Payroll departments to collect and process necessary data.
- Contribute to special projects and address issues as they arise.
- Assist in preparing working papers for external auditors and tax return preparers.
- Support the accounting for new acquisitions and the finalization of purchase accounting requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Experience managing multiple legal entities.
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (preferred) or similar general ledger software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare and healthcare revenue cycle is advantageous.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office attendance 2-3 days per week while allowing remote work for the remaining days.
Physical Requirements:
The role necessitates a full range of body motion. Regular activities include sitting, walking, standing, talking, or hearing, both in person and via telephone. The employee must also repetitively use hands to handle or operate standard office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 25 pounds.
