Concrete Paving Technician

Job Summary
Southwest Concrete Paving Co. is seeking a skilled Concrete Paving Technician to join our team. As a key member of our survey team, you will assist with all aspects of site survey for concrete pavement and associated base and subbase layers, as well as control for demolition and other associated items.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project layout and control, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of construction projects.
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including Trimble, Topcon, and Leica software products.
- Conduct daily set-up, tear down, and maintenance of equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Collect and analyze data, preparing and submitting reports to project managers and engineers.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Perform construction layout, existing topos, and as-built data, establishing survey control for use in construction projects.
- Assist project managers, superintendents, and engineers as required, performing additional assignments as directed.
Requirements
- Minimum basic understanding of surveying techniques, hardware, and software equipment.
- Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software, including data collection and report preparation.
- Knowledge of utilizing string-less 3D paving, preferred but not required.
