Medical Support Specialist Plasma Center Nurse

Job Summary:
This role will determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). The Medical Support Specialist will also evaluate donor reactions, refer unacceptable findings to donors, provide guidance concerning medical or technical issues, and support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing employee incidents and determining whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
About the Role:
This position requires two years in a clinical or hospital setting, with a high school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Current licensure or certification as an LPN or LVN, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification, and fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy are also necessary. Satisfactory completion of the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist is required.

The Benefits:
As a part-time Medical Support Specialist Plasma Center Nurse with BioLife Plasma Services, you will receive a competitive hourly wage range of $23.85 - $32.79.
