Department: Health Sciences - Nurse Assistant

Reports To: Dean of Health Science, Math and Industrial Technology

Position Overview: This role is essential for the delivery of courses within the Nurse Assisting program. The selected candidate will be responsible for instructing classes as assigned by the Program Coordinator or Academic Dean.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach CNA courses at various times, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
  • Engage with students and provide a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain the necessary qualifications to instruct at the collegiate level.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with current licensure.
  • Completion of 4 hours of Continuing Education in Alzheimer's care.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with chronically ill or elderly patients in long-term care settings.
  • Possession of a Train the Trainer certification (or the ability to obtain one) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with a BSN.
  • 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in chronic illness, elderly care, or long-term care.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some evening commitments.
