We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Import Operations Manager to lead our import team in ensuring customer satisfaction, cost-effective operations, high-quality service, while complying with company policies and US and international regulations.

Job Description:

  • Supervise a team of 3 to 6 individuals in the import operations department, promoting efficient teamwork and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to ensure timely and efficient service requirements.
  • Manage relationships with key customers to ensure full satisfaction and maintain strong client partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and laws governing the import and domestic transportation of goods, particularly food and alcohol products.
  • Manage the pricing process to ensure timely quote processing, accuracy, and profitability.
  • Liaise with overseas offices and partners to communicate clear expectations and ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding import operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisor role.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Solutions, or Transportation.
  • Knowledge of AMS, ISF, CTPAT, USDA NOP, and all other import and domestic transportation legislation, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interacting both with clients and colleagues.
