About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Product Marketing Specialist to join our team at Piper Aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and aviation, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Summary: The Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for helping increase product awareness and competitiveness by providing support to the marketing and sales team. This includes collaborating with marketing and the sales teams to develop Piper's overall go-to-market approach for each product, working with engineering to ensure product upgrades and enhancements that reflect customer expectations, and assisting in the development and delivery of marketing collateral, sales tools, and sales presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Materials Development: Assist in the creation of high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and case studies, to showcase Piper's products and services.
  • Sales Support: Provide technical and product support to the sales team, answering questions and conducting product demonstrations as needed.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for Piper's products.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data mining activities to analyze market competitiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Target Prospecting: Help identify target prospects for each product and work with the marketing and creative design team to develop strategies to educate and attract these prospects.
  • Sales Training: Develop and deliver sales and technical training programs to ensure the sales team has the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively sell Piper's products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as marketing or business, is required.
  • Aviation Experience: Three or more years of experience in the general aviation industry, preferably with knowledge of Piper aircraft models and products.
  • Pilot Certificate: An FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument and Multiengine ratings is required, along with a minimum of 500 hours of total flight time.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access, is required, as well as experience with relational databases and CRM systems.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will be communicating with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
