Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Specialist to join our team at Kohler. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including construction, maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of grounds, security systems, utilities, reservoirs, trails, roads, buildings, and other structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities-related issues in assigned buildings, initiating work requests and monitoring completion.
  • Manage maintenance and renovations projects, coordinating and monitoring routine maintenance services completion.
  • Conduct building inspections, document findings, and take actions as assigned.
  • Perform condition assessments on appearance, building status, equipment, and identify and establish preventive maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate, direct, inspect, and approve contract work, third-party vendors, and identify, recommend, and implement building operations and process modifications to increase productivity and/or cost reduction.
  • Schedule specialized outside contractors for equipment preventive maintenance and non-routine maintenance.
  • May supervise assigned lower-level staff engaged in supporting the physical environment and building systems.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Familiarity with Facilities Management Software (SAP) is highly desired
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques
  • Minimum job requirements include pre-employment screening, basic math skills, and a valid driver's license
  • Additional certification in facilities functions is a plus
