This part-time position requires expertise in caring for complex Veterans, including those with PTSD, cognitive impairment, and chronic pain.

The ideal candidate will have experience in therapeutic horticulture and horticulture education, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with VA staff and adapt to the needs of the Veteran population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate therapeutic horticulture and beginner to intermediate horticulture education for Veterans.
  • Provide professional facilitation with expertise in care for complex Veterans.
  • Supervise garden maintenance, planting, and harvesting activities for therapeutic benefits.

Requirements:

  • Experience in therapeutic horticulture and horticulture education.
  • Expertise in caring for complex Veterans, particularly those with PTSD, cognitive impairment, and chronic pain.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with VA staff and adapt to the needs of the Veteran population.
  • Availability to work three half days per week.
