We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Congenital Cardiac Surgeon to join our team at The University of Chicago. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to practice in a community setting, focusing on congenital and neonatal cardiac surgery primarily at Advocate Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice congenital and neonatal cardiac surgery at Advocate Children's Hospital
  • Teach and supervise trainees and students
  • Contribute to scholarly activity and research
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Medical doctorate or equivalent
  • Medical licensure in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana
  • Board Certification or Board-Eligibility by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
  • ACGME accredited fellowship and/or equivalent training in cardiovascular/thoracic surgery

We welcome applicants with:

  • At least 5 years of clinical practice following fellowship completion
  • Experience in neonatal cardiac surgery and cardiac transplantation/ventricular assistance
  • UNOS certification as transplant surgeon
