Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietetic Specialist to join our team in the Children's Retail department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash and inventory, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked work area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Properly handle cash, credit cards, payroll deductions, and meal vouchers in accordance with department policies.
  • Efficiently and accurately operate the register system, including correct change, asking customers to open containers, and over/under deposits within department compliance guidelines.
  • Review the menu, pricing, and register screen prior to starting shift.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area throughout shift.
  • Follow all recipes and techniques when preparing beverages.
  • Assemble supplies needed for catered events.
  • Set up, deliver, serve, and clean catered events according to established standards.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing quiet and unobtrusive service for catered events.
  • Store items according to FDA Food Code.
  • Work with vendors regarding deliveries, orders, pars, and proper storage.
  • Inspect items during receiving and reject unacceptable products for credit.
  • Follow training and safety procedures when operating equipment, ensuring equipment is cleaned and properly stored.
  • Inventorize assigned areas and stock to par, assembling and delivering orders for various areas.
  • Perform Dietetic Assistant duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Must have a valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from Monongalia County Health Department (MCHD) prior to starting or obtain a MCHD Temporary FSWP no later than the first Wednesday of employment and a permanent MCHD FSWP within 1 month of start date.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
