Swim Instructor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at US Swim School Association. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swim skills to students of all ages and skill levels, while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the safety of all swimmers
  • Teach swim skills to students using our curriculum
  • Build water confidence within students
  • Communicate effectively with students and fellow staff members
  • Be a team player and consistently dependable and reliable
  • Complete required training and be a continual learner
  • Follow our curriculum with a focus on the needs, abilities, and comfort of each student
  • Maintain a friendly attitude and inspire swimmers and families
  • Set up and break down your workspace
Qualifications:
  • Caring and compassion for infants, children, and adults
  • Ability to work in the water for periods of up to 5 hours
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great attitude and willingness to be coached
  • Ability to focus in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to commit through October 1, afternoons and weekends required
  • Bilingual/multilingual applicants (any combination of English, Spanish, Portuguese) are preferred (other languages welcome)
