Role Responsibilities

The Equipment Service Technician is responsible for delivering exceptional technical support and customer service, while maintaining robust relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and sales teams. A positive and collaborative approach is essential for success in this role.

  • Conduct on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery, while providing training to clients.
  • Engage in ongoing training related to equipment and departmental resources.
  • Participate in scheduled Branch and Technical Service meetings.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service by offering expertise, guidance, and addressing inquiries.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships through timely communication and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales and Sales Representatives to deliver superior customer support.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues through thorough inspection of machinery.
  • Dismantle equipment as necessary to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
  • Diagnose, install, and repair electrical components, including transformers and wiring.
  • Generate detailed and timely service reports.
  • Oversee work procedures and schedules to optimize workflow.
  • Submit monthly expense reports accurately.
  • Assist with office and warehouse tasks as time allows.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in machinery and conveyor systems is essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Skills and Attributes
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on relationship building.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite and PLC systems.
  • Willingness to travel locally and work overtime as needed.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance are mandatory.
