Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team at Texas Home Medical, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with referral sources to collect necessary documentation.
  • Verify Medicare and private insurance coverage information and maintain expertise of insurance requirements.
  • Communicate insurance benefits and DME costs to customers to facilitate sales.
  • Manage customer interactions, process accounts, and file documents electronically.
  • Manage incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Process paperwork, confirm tickets, and complete daily assigned work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Sell patients on the benefits of CPAP and BILEVEL therapy.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales staff to reduce internal workflow issues and errors.
  • Communicate order updates to patients, doctor's offices, and sales representatives.
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
  • Meet personal and customer service team sales targets and call handling quotas.
  • Handle customer complaints and provide effective solutions within expected time limits.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and requirements preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical billing practices and billing reimbursement preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment.
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.
