Role Overview:
The Production Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in our production facility, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery. The production environment operates continuously, and the technician is tasked with maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on production lines to enhance efficiency
- Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks using SAP
- Participate in the overhaul and rebuilding of production and support equipment
- Manage parts inventory and communicate shortages to the Parts Planner
- Maintain clear communication with maintenance team members through End of Shift reports
- Engage in the Swire Manufacturing Continuous Improvement (SMCI) process by collaborating with production operators
- Keep a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards
- Utilize the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management system effectively
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment post-repair
- Install new equipment and provide training to production staff on lean supply chain initiatives
- Monitor equipment performance and replenish materials as necessary
- Conduct quality reviews of assigned equipment to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Trade School certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to interpret schematics
- Experience in welding and fabrication
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
- Quick learner with strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge in carpentry, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and security systems
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
Compensation:
