Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Industrial Security Analyst to join our team at Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Propulsion Systems. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the protection of national security information and compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Industrial Security office to ensure protection of national security information and compliance with NISPOM.
  • Engage with senior leaders and customers to enable short-term deliverables and long-term lasting solutions.
  • Use experience and independent judgment to maintain an effective security program that meets government customer and corporate security requirements.
  • Directly support all classified programs and coordinate support from Computer Security, Physical Security, and Personnel Security teams.
  • Safeguard, control, account for classified information and material, including storage, transmission, reproduction, disposition, and retention.
  • Develop and administer various training, including annual security training for cleared employees.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254) and Contract/Program Security Classification Guides (SCG).
  • Use and maintain security database applications (company & customer).
  • Process classified visit requests and orchestrate classified visits/meetings.
  • Coordinate the foreign travel program and assist with foreign visitors.
  • Configuration Control Board (CCB) member for classified systems.
  • Focal point for on-site inspections/assessments required by government policy.
  • Conduct investigations, report security incidents, and file official reports.
  • Administer Security Education and OPSEC programs.
  • Review technical papers.
  • Coordinate and perform testing of intrusion detection systems in classified administrative and manufacturing areas.
  • COMSEC Manager: perform semi-annual inventory and account reconciliation; maintain crypto key/equipment; complete required assessments/self-assessments.
  • Other security-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and six years of relevant experience in a combination of DoD Industrial Security and Special Access programs (DoD emphasis preferred).
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance (Tier 3 background investigation) current within 6 years. Must obtain a Top Secret DoD clearance (Tier 5 background investigation) within 6 months.
  • Work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the 32 CFR (NISPOM) and ability to effectively lead junior team members to implement for DoD contracts.
  • Experience with DISS and NISS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred).
  • Effective planner, detail-oriented with strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including working with senior leaders/managers, customers, employees, and security personnel.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000

Salary Range 2: $95,000 - $142,400
