Job Overview

Compensation:

$65,000 - $75,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee driver performance to ensure routes are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections, along with necessary documentation.
  • Address and document operational issues promptly, implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide customer service support while managing routes in a dynamic environment.
  • Engage in training sessions aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including sales and maintenance, to meet operational objectives.
  • Enhance route efficiency through strategic planning and modifications.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with solid waste and recycling collection equipment.
  • Proficient in computer operations and procedures; ability to support the Transportation Manager as needed.
  • Assist in conducting route audits.
  • Ensure timely completion of all assigned routes.
  • Be prepared to drive routes in case of staffing shortages.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of fleet vehicles to maintain cleanliness and report any issues.
  • Communicate mechanical concerns to maintenance promptly.
  • Maintain quality standards for routes as established by management.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and equipment checks during job performance.
  • Comply with all relevant safety regulations and vehicle operation guidelines.
  • Conduct regular route observations, documenting findings and reporting to supervisors.
  • Assist in accident investigations and related paperwork as needed.

Experience and Licensing Requirements:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
  • At least two years of driving experience with a Class A vehicle.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, or a willingness to learn.
  • Must successfully complete a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
