About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a mobile radiologic technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, and residential homes. Your primary responsibility will be to travel to patient locations, perform portable x-rays and EKG exams, and maintain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to patient locations to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams
  • Collect and verify patient information and order documentation prior to procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams
  • Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required
  • Process images and review them for diagnostic quality prior to transmission
  • Transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner according to company protocols
  • Complete all forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving as directed
  • Take good care of company vehicles and ensure they are well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • Operate and behave in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations related to portable imaging procedures and standards
Requirements:
  • Meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R) or state x-ray license (if applicable)
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record
  • Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends
