IT Disaster Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Disaster Recovery Analyst to join our team at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Laboratory. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for planning, establishing, and maintaining an IT disaster recovery and continuity of operations program that ensures the resilience and rapid recovery of IT systems and operations in the event of a disaster.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain comprehensive IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify vulnerable areas and prioritize recovery strategies.
- Coordinate with IT, security, and business departments to develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures that minimize the impact of unexpected outages to business operations.
- Design and plan disaster recovery solutions that meet recovery point objectives (RPOs) and recovery time objectives (RTOs).
- Organize and manage regular testing of disaster recovery procedures to ensure effectiveness and readiness.
- Be a primary point of contact during a disaster, coordinating response efforts and communicating status updates to relevant parties.
- Manage and plan the disaster recovery budget and resources, including vendor relationships and contracts.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status and effectiveness of the disaster recovery program.
- Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and 6 years of experience, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
- Experience with IT infrastructure, data center operations, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in business continuity and IT disaster recovery, such as ISO 22301 and ITIL.
- Experience developing and managing comprehensive disaster recovery plans.
We offer a competitive salary range of $91,008 - $186,588, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending accounts, 401(k) with a 4.2% employer contribution and up to 4.8% match, paid time off, employee education program, and a comprehensive relocation package.
