Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Cook for a daytime role that offers flexibility throughout the week. The ideal candidate will start at 9:30 AM and conclude their shift between 5 PM and 6 PM.
Role Requirements: This position is distinct in that it emphasizes fundamental cooking and preparation skills over serving abilities, which we are more than willing to teach. Daily food preparation is a key responsibility.
About HUSO: HUSO is a fine casual dining establishment that operates within Marky's Caviar, showcasing gourmet products available in our retail section, crafted by the renowned Chef Buddha Lo.
- Our lunch service is available daily, featuring classic dishes with a gourmet twist.
- Lunch is served from 11 AM to 5 PM, with a curated à la carte tasting menu that highlights beloved classics, traditional caviar service, and other exquisite offerings.
HUSO has received recognition on the Michelin Plate for three consecutive years and was named one of the Top 6 most romantic restaurants in NYC.
Team Environment: We are looking for individuals who are passionate about gourmet cuisine, particularly caviar, and who are committed to providing thoughtful and warm service to our guests. As a small team, collaboration and a willingness to assist with various tasks are essential.
Expectations: This role is demanding and requires a serious commitment to first-class customer service and product quality. All team members are expected to wear multiple hats, which enhances the opportunity for personal and professional growth within our organization.
- Tips are shared among the serving staff.
Additional Responsibilities: Given that our dining area and retail shop are interconnected, all employees are expected to serve tables, manage retail tasks, and assist with minor food preparation.
Job Type: Part-time
Holidays: We observe closures on major holidays.
Work Hours: 9:30 AM - 5 PM, with extended hours on Sundays.
