Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Content and Traffic Director to lead our content creation strategy and internal agency execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of content creation, marketing, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for wellness and the vitamin and supplement industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Traffic Management: Lead and oversee our creative project management process, working directly with the Creative and digital leads to accomplish projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Content Strategy: Develop and implement a content strategy that supports the company's marketing and communication goals, enhances brand awareness, and drives customer engagement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a large team of content creators, including writers, social media managers, and photographers. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the production of high-quality, engaging content, including emails, blogs, SMS, photos, videos, social media posts, and more, aligning to brand and company goals.
  • Editorial Oversight: Establish and maintain editorial standards, ensuring all content is accurate, consistent, and aligns with the company's tone, style, and legal guidelines.
  • SEO and Analytics: Implement SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines and analyze content performance metrics to adjust strategies and improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Content Calendar: Manage a content delivery calendar to ensure timely delivery of content across all channels, coordinating with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Brand Voice: Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all content, reinforcing the company's values and mission.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging content marketing techniques, introducing innovative content creative formats and strategies to keep the brand at the forefront of the industry.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, product development, and customer service teams to ensure content meets the needs of various stakeholders and supports overall business objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage the content budget, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Compliance: Ensure all content complies with industry regulations and company policies, particularly in the medical and healthcare sectors.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in content marketing, or agency with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Agency experience is highly preferred. Experience in the vitamin and supplement industry is also preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Solid writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to plan and execute photoshoots as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of photo/video creation process.
  • Ability to implement new processes.
  • Experience with social media platforms and best practices.
  • Experience in brand asset management and organization and project management software.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO, content analytics, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Creative thinking with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (in-person and digital) skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to travel as needed for conferences, events, and meetings.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
