Job Summary

This part-time, non-benefited position is open to UND students who are looking for a unique opportunity to gain experience in a museum setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and engage Museum visitors, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Ensure the security of artwork and visitors, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Enforce museum rules and regulations, promoting a respectful and responsible atmosphere.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing and completing them efficiently.
  • Represent the Museum positively, embodying its values and mission.
  • Stay informed about Museum activities, events, and exhibitions, staying up-to-date on the latest developments.
Required Competencies
  • Work well under pressure, remaining calm and composed in fast-paced situations.
  • Utilize good organization skills, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Employ excellent communication skills, interacting with visitors, staff, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with others to achieve common goals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, representing the Museum in a positive and respectful light.
Minimum Requirements
  • Acceptance of a Federal Work Study award.
  • Passing a criminal history background check.
  • Enrollment in at least 6 credits.
