About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Senior Technician to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our customers' HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain air-conditioning units to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform regular maintenance on heating and cooling systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions
  • Install, replace, or repair damaged equipment and calibrate thermostatic controls
  • Install new heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and repair or replace damaged or worn parts and equipment
  • Inspect and service refrigeration equipment, including refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps
  • Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems
  • Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems
  • Assemble and install metal ductwork
  • Assist in planning and designing new installations of heating and air-conditioning systems
  • Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • A minimum of 8+ years of practical working experience in the HVAC industry
  • Ability to push/pull/lift 50lbs or more
  • Ability to stand, crawl, sit, or squat for extended periods
  • Possess and maintain a valid and current Driver's License and be insurable by the company's insurance carrier
  • Must be a current union member or willing to join a union
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of building automation controls
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax is a plus
  • EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants (EPA 608)
  • Experience working with a variety of HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems
  • Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and software
  • Familiarity with local, state, and national HVAC codes and regulations
  • Strong understanding of electrical and controls systems related to HVAC
